Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Beast With Two Faces

Enter Superboy Season 2. At this point, I have to say I am digging the series a little more than I was at the outset; I still think it could benefit from some supervillains, but at least the plots started to get a little more variety. Once again, thank goodness for Krypto. He was the one standout so far that gave this series some charm.

Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (2001) - Discount Review

Heroes: Electra Woman and Dyna Girl (II)

Villains: A pair of two-bit thieves

Diabolical Schemes: This short pilot attempting to revive the 70's action comedy (which I had never heard of before) didn't really last long enough to establish a villainous scheme. The villains did try to rob a jewelry store though.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - The Revolt of Robotville

I am no historian, but I am betting if this episode was made before people even knew how to pronounce robot (not the Zoidbergian style "ro-butt") the idea of a Robutt-ville must have been pretty far fetched. Hopefully citizens of the 60's weren't terrified by the prospects of a Matrix style robot revolution portrayed by this episode.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - A Devil of a Time

Holy macaroni. Now that was a story I didn't see coming. Superboy decided to dress up as a glasses wearing devil for a school costume party to be an ironic companion for the earth angel herself Lana Lang. But, when Superboy spied with his little eye some scheming criminals he made some makeshift smoke bombs and made a deal with the baddies pretending to be the devil himself. Pretty bold move. Luckily the criminals took the bait, they were after all complete idiots who asked for the biggest diamond in the world and then complained that it was too big when the devil, I mean Superboy brought it to them.

Amethyst Confirmed For DC Nation

According to Brianne Drouhard at her  Potato Farm Girl Blog the mystery girl on the flying unicorn is in fact Amethyst of Gemworld which will be getting her own short as part of DC Nation separate from the girls of Super Best Friends Forever.

Onscreen History of Giganta

The gargantuan villainess Giganta first sprang up in the pages of Wonder Woman #9 way back in 1944. Although Giganta eventually gained the super ability to change size, a reverse Atom of sorts, she was originally just a "strong woman" type having been turned from a gorilla into a human.

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Superboy's Super-Dilemma

In this episode, Superboy went down the rabbit hole and grew giant-sized Alice in Wonderland style.

Amthyst Princess of Gemworld and Other DC Nation Theories

Since initially posting images from the DC Nation promotional video (along with the Aardman Claymation Batman and Teen Titans burping video) some theories have emerged about what exactly will be included in DC Nation. On the top of the list of images that is receiving attention is the above image of a young lass riding a flying unicorn. Although my initial thought was that this must be from a Super Best Friends Forever (aka Super BFF) short, perhaps showcasing Starfire, I came across another theory at Thoughtnami that the image is actually of Amethyst: Princess of Gemworld, a character published by DC comics in the 1980's. Who, you ask?

Crisis of Infinite Episodes - Hurricane Fighters

Before she was breaking Clark's heart only to ride off on a horse on a weekly basis on Smallville, Lana Lang was comic book Clark Kent's girl next door. Sure, at one point she rescued an alien insect and was bestowed with insect like powers calling herself the Insect Queen, but otherwise she was just your average small town babe. Now that I think about it, maybe Lana's whole run in with witchcraft, or becoming a vampire, or gaining superpowers on Smallville were not that out of character. After all gaining the title of "Insect Queen" is pretty wild.
